On the easy days putting on a front isn’t so hard, you can still laugh with others, socialize, and complete tasks without anyone catching on to how you’re really feeling.
But then there’s those other days; the ones that make you question everything you thought you knew about yourself; the days when that dark cloud just won’t leave you alone; when you’re so overwhelmingly exhausted that you just can’t get out of bed even though you know you need to; when, no matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to get things right; or those days when that hope for happier days you once had, is gone.
Symptoms of depression can be confusing, frustrating, and/or embarrassing regardless of how often a person has experienced them. Depression can come and go, it can linger longer than you want it to, and sometimes it can happen even when you think there’s no real reason for it.
Depression is tough regardless of how you experience it, but struggling through it alone only makes it worse.
